Straight out the jungle…

Top:Zara / Jeans: H&M / Booties: Zara / Bag: Zadig et Voltaire

As spring approaches and South Florida’s weather gets back to normal ( so tired of the fake winter we’ve been having for the past few months), I’m staring to incorporate bold colors and patterns into my daily wardrobe. I don’t know if it was the time off or my trip to MedellĂn, but I’ve definitely been inspired to wear idgf outfits. I feel like in the past I was afraid to wear outfits that were to outside the box in fear that I would get those “wtf was she thinking” stares, but now I could careless. The bolder, the brighter, the better, because honestly #icantkillmyself2018. I’m not going to stump my creativity for the sake of the Florida “norm”.

Where It All Started…

At the beginning of the year I set a few goals for myself, (wouldn’t call them resolutions, mainly because those never really stick). The goals I set for myself were, to travel more internationally, start something I’ve been wanting to do for 3 years now( more info on this coming soon), read more books, and be less petty( this is the hardest one of all lol). I’m happy to say as we come to the close of the second month in 2018, side note* (can you believe one that it’s 2018?!? and two that we’re almost three months in ?!? 🤔). Back to what I was saying… now as February comes to a close, I’ve marked 2 things off the goal list. Back in the early part of January, a friend of mine mentioned they were going to MedellĂn,Colombia for a few days and asked if I wanted to come along. Now if this was last year I would have found every excuse why I couldn’t or shouldn’t go, but this time without thinking I said yes. I can truly say it was the best decision I’ve made, and would love to visit this magical city again but I’ve been bit by the travel bug and I have a few more countries I would like to visit before heading back for a round two. Make sure to follow me on instagram @ohyeahkendra ( shame on you if you not… I’m judging you so hard!) that way you can keep up with my up coming travel adventures and crazy/entertaining every day life. The photos in this post, are photos I took while visiting a neighborhood located in the hills of MedellĂn, which has become a tourist destination, you can walk though the neighborhood to reach the top of the hill and see majority of MedellĂn. Throughout the path to the top residents have setup store fronts and shops where visitors can purchase food, water, and souvenirs. This way the money goes directly to the people and not to the government( honest they got enough of my money). I definitely recommend visiting MedellĂn at least once in your life but just make sure you brush up on you Spanish.

Something like a Housewife

Writers block has definitely gotten the best of me this past week. I took these photos on Sunday with every intention to post them on Monday (with some sort of witty title) and interesting explanation of my deep love for camou and how I might own way to much of it, especially for someone who has no interest in hunting. But when it came down for me to sit down and put words to paper aka my iPad Pro nothing came out. I tried writing while at work on break (of course this was a bad idea I definitely set myself up for failure there) , when I was at home doing nothing and trying to decide if I wanted to re watch stranger things for the second time since there are no new shows on Netflix worth binge watching (because I’ve basic watched it all). Still at the end nothing, yup nothing came to mind so instead I’ll tell you the history behind this jacket. A few months back after leaving brunch with two of my amazing friends Arielle and Tony, we did what any person does that’s had way to many brunch drinks, we went to Zara to look around and waste time before saying good bye to each for the day and head home. Right when we about to leave the store I came across this jacket stuck way behind several other items jammed in on the rack. Arielle and Tony both thought the jacket definitely looked like something you would see on a cast member of The Real Housewives of (INSERT CITY HERE). So naturally I needed it because 1 I’m an over the top individual and 2… well there is no 2 just 1, but the line for the fitting room way just way to long for me to try it on. The next best thing for me to do was to just order thought the zara app, and yes I have the Zara app don’t judge me because this is a judge free zone; but right as I was about to order it my phone dies. Once I made it home and my phone had charged enough for it to turn back one, and I went to order the jacket my size had sold out, at the moment it felt like the universe was tell me not to buy the jacket. Over the course of the next few weeks I keep find myself thinking about the jacket, all the ways I could style it and where I would wear it. Well as you can tell from today’s post I bought it, and since then I’ve worn it so many different ways. I’ve even worn it to a doctors appointment and now that I think of it I might have been a tad bit over dressed, but never the less I’m happy I eventually purchased the jacket and I plan on continuing to wear it places, were it’s inappropriate because that the kinda person I am.

Two Letters One Word… PJ

Top and Bottom: zara Sunglasses: Chloe Bag: Zadig et Voltaire

Looks like the PJ look is here to stay, well at least until another trend helps to give the illusion that you just hopped out of bed but yet still look chic and well put together. Needless to say I’m in love with this trend and for the past year it’s been my go to look on my days off, when I want to look semi put together. The fact that you can completely change the look from day to night by simply changing out of sneaker( what I usually wear) into heels is just genius. The PJ look with a heel,I would normally wear to a more formal brunch or a cute dinner with friends. Click HERE and HERE to get the look…

Afternoon’s Spent In Back Alleyways

T-Shirt : Cotton On Skirt: Zara Shoes: Vans

I consider myself queen of the oversized outfit, but this week I decided to step out of my comfort zone and shoot a look I wouldn’t normally choose to wear. Even though the outfit is out of my comfort zone it still consist of all my go to’s. A Band T(which I honestly may own way to many of…. said no one ever!), velvet ( keep I eye out for it in post to come because it fall and duh), and of course a comfy sneaker. I recently purchased this Rolling Stones brand T from cotton and have been living in it, the shirt is currently sold out but you can find a similar one HERE. The skirt I purchase during a rushed shopping trip to Zara, I was initially to looking for something to wear to dinner (causal) when I came across this skirt. When I purchased it I had no idea if I would actually wear the skirt but I knew I had to have it, you can purchase it HERE. My vans I’ve had for some time now and their the right amount of worn in, I find myself grabbing for these before any of my other shoes. Eventually all purchase a new pair( more then likely when they fall apart) and kept these as back ups, if you don’t already own a pair…. shame on you your missing out and get you some HERE

Oh yeah… Kendra
